WHAT ARE SPECIALTY COURSES?

Specialty courses allow you to focus on a specific areas of diving that interest you.  They are a great way to improve your diving skills!

Deep Specialty

Become certified to dive to the recreational limit of 40 meters and learn about decompression theory and diving planning.

Nitrox Specialty

Extend your dive times by breathing enriched air nitrox. One of the most popular specialty courses.

Rescue Diver

Learn the skills and knowledge required to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers.

First Aid

A pre-requisite to the Stress & Rescue course, you’ll learn techniques that may one day save a life, both in water and on land.

Sidemount

Discover a new way of diving that gives you the added safety of extra air, better streamlining, and increased versatility.

Wreck Specialty

Learn to safely dive and navigate a wreck.  This course is taught at our local WWII era shipwreck the HTMS Sattakut.

Navigation

Underwater Navigation is often one of the hardest skills for a new diver to master. Learn compass proficiency, navigation patterns and natural navigation to make your dives more enjoyable.

Search and Recovery

Learn search patterns, knot tying and lift bag usage to find missing objects underwater..

Buoyancy

We improve buoyancy by playing games underwater, experimenting with weight placement and learning efficient finning techniques.

Night Diving

Learn techniques for diving at night and discover the unique creatures that come out after sunset.  It’s a whole different world after dark.
